Advanced Poker Training is the newest online poker training site to open and it’s been a long time in the making. This new training software has been in development for over two years now, but it has finally been perfected and released to the public. If watching hundreds of poker videos isn’t your thing and you prefer more hands on poker training you’re going to love the new software that’s being offered by Advanced Poker Training. Advanced Poker Training is a poker room where you play against computer players with varying artificial intelligence. There are quite a few different poker tables that you can train on and each table will feature a new set of opponents. Once you reach the final table you’ll be playing against the best of the best in terms of AI computer players. During each session that you play in the poker client your stats will be tracked by Advanced Poker Training and released to you after you’re done playing. There is a feature called RealPokerSkill that’ll measure how you played against the computer players. It’ll determine how close you were to playing perfect poker without accounting for luck. We all know that there is a level of luck in poker, but if you’re always playing optimal poker you’re going to come out on top in the long run. By using the RealPokerSkill feature you’ll be able to figure out where you have holes in your poker game, which will allow you to work on those weaknesses. Players can also compete in weekly challenges after the other members of the site and all of your stats will be tracked on a leaderboard so that you can see how you match-up against everyone else. Advanced Poker Training is so sure about their software that they’re willing to offer a money back guarantee to everyone that signs up for an account today. If you don’t double your poker earnings in your 1st month of using the software you’ll receive a money back guarantee as long as you played at least 500 hands weekly, which is nothing for anyone that’s serious about making money playing online poker. A membership to Advanced Poker Training is only $19.97/monthly, which is one of the best values in the industry considering you get to use unique state-of-the-art poker training software. If you like the software and wish to extend your membership you can sign-up for six months as well for $99.97 and save some money.

It has just recently been announced that the two top players from 2010 will be teaming up to create Poker Wiz Kids. With so many poker training sites on the market nowadays it takes something special to create a new brand, but PokerWhizKids has a great chance of making a big bang in the industry if they open as soon as possible. Sorel Mizzi and Thomas Marchese are the two masterminds behind Poker Whiz Kids and both names should be familiar with most of you. Sorel Mizzi was awarded with the 2010 Bluff Magazine Player of the Year honours this past year while Thomas Marchese ended up winning the 2010 CardPlayer Player of the Year award. Both players have a lot of buzz right now and it’s the perfect time to create a poker training site, but they’re going to need to make sure they provide a lot of content. With so many options on the market now it’s going to be important that they either offer a lot of content or something unique that you can’t find elsewhere. A lot of veteran online poker players will remember that Sorel Mizzi was caught multi-accounting, but if you take a look at his recent stats there is no question that he’s one of the best tournament players in the world. Mizzi has had tons of success in both live poker tournaments and online poker tournaments. Sorel Mizzi has won over $4M so far throughout his poker career and there is no telling how much he’s going to earn in the next few years. If I asked you who Tom Marchese was a year or two ago the majority of you wouldn’t have had an answer for me. Last year was a huge year for Tom Marchese and it’ll be interesting to see if he can continue having a lot of success at the tables. Tom is also a tournament specialist and has won nearly $2.5M in career winnings. I expect PokerWizKids to feature a lot of MTT content because both players are great tournament players, but there hasn’t been much news about anything yet. You can currently visit the PokerWhizKids site to sign-up for a mailing list so that you can be the first to know when they open.

Leggo Poker has recently announced what they plan on doing this month and things are looking great. If you’ve been on the fence as to whether or not you should join Leggo Poker, these new updates should make your decision a lot easier. With lots of new videos and a new coach, Leggo Poker will be having a busy month in February. One of the small updates that took place already was that Leggo Poker just introduced Moneybookers as a payment option due to popular demand from clients. Drew “MyThrilFox” Layton is the new coach that has been signed to Leggo Poker although if you’ve been a member at Leggo Poker you’ll already know him most likely. Drew has been an active contributor in the strategy forums at Leggo Poker for a long time now and it should be interesting to see what type of information he’ll provide in his videos. Drew will mainly focus on micro stakes strategy right now and he’ll also be working on some PowerPoint presentations instead of just videos. Leggo Poker is now in its 12th edition of the Leggo Poker podcast and this month’s installment is one that you don’t want to miss out on. Aaron, Matt and Chewy will spend some time going over a few tournament and high stakes cash game hands that should be jam packed with strategy. There is also a little trivia mixed into the podcast this month and the three poker players spend a bit of time covering the latest poker news that could affect you. What I’m really looking forward to watching this month is the fifth edition of the BondCast. This month during the BondCast we get to listen to Jaymes interview Brandon Vise. Vise worked hard in 2010 to become a PokerStars Supernova and he accomplished the task. Jaymes interviews Vise during the BondCast and asks some great questions such as the routine that Visa followed every month as well as what some of the ups and downs were during the past year. If you’ve been thinking about trying to become a Supernova at PokerStars this is one interview you’re not going to want to miss.

BlueFire Poker has been known as a poker training site that caters to cash games, but they recently announced that they’ll be entering the sit and go tournament market. Rather than taking their time moving into the S&G training market, BlueFire Poker has decided to sign five S&G Pros to their roster this month. With all of the new sit and go tournament pros it shouldn’t be long before we start seeing lots of S&G strategy videos in the member’s area. Who Did BlueFire Poker Sign? Phil Galfond has always made it clear that BlueFire Poker would be about quality over quantity, which is why I think it’s taken this long for Galfond to start offering S&G strategy. BlueFire Poker is always an industry leader in cash game training and now they should be able to grow into a more all-around poker training site. The following five players were signed by BlueFire Poker this month and will begin providing videos immediately. · Chip Ferguson – Online Alias – z32fanatic · Darin Van Gammeran – Online Alias – DarinVG · Brian Fite – Online Alias – bfizz · Ryan Peterson – Online Alias – DieBanksters · Andy Carlson – Online Alias – Raizin Azian I’m really excited about seeing the quality of videos these pros will be posting. Chip Ferguson and Darin Van Gammeran have plenty of experience playing S&G tournaments. Both players have played over 100,000 S&G tournaments throughout their online poker careers. All of the pros are full-time poker players and there is no doubt that BlueFire Poker is going to become an even better place to train. In the BlueFire Poker press release they mentioned that there members wanted a S&G team to be put together and like always Galfond and BlueFire Poker came through. It took them awhile to scout out the right coaches to make up the new team of S&G players, but they’re finally very happy about the new pros they’ve signed. With a wicked new design and tons of new pros that’ll be providing content, BlueFire Poker should be one of the hottest online poker training site in 2011.

With 2011 now well underway, I expect most poker training sites to work on adding new features. PokerVT has kicked off the New Year with a new training course, bankroll challenge and they’ve also signed two new coaches. Daniel Bedo lives in Sweden and plays poker professionally online. He’ll be spending most of his time creating videos teaching players how to beat the 45-180 player sit and go tournaments. In order to add a new level of PLO strategy to the PokerVT member’s area they’ve gone out and signed Bill Green, who is an online poker pro that you may have played if you’re a regular at the mid-stake PLO cash games. The biggest news coming from PokerVT isn’t the two new pros though, it’s the new poker tournament training course that was recently developed by Jason “JCarver” Somerville. For those of you that don’t know, Jason won the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker and this course is all about that event. Somerville is going to walk PokerVT members through every hand of the SCOOP Event so that you can find out exactly what he was thinking and why he made the play he made. This type of detailed strategy and analysis is unheard of in the poker training industry and this course alone is worth the PokerVT membership fees. Players will learn optimal strategy for making it through large playing fields as well as tons of advanced strategy such as bluffing concepts, putting your opponents on a hand and much more. The course will be released this Thursday (Jan 6th) at PokerVT so make sure you have your account login information ready so that you can be one of the 1st players to watch the course. In other news, PokerVT Pro SpaceGravy is going to show everyone how to turn a $100 bankroll into a massive amount of money using proper bankroll management. SpaceGravy is the player that turned $100 into $1 million at PokerStars and he’s going to try and do it again, but this time everything will be broadcasted at PokerVT. SpaceGravy is expected to post roughly 3 videos every month starting this month and running until the end of the year. If you’re a small bankroll player then this is the instruction you need in order to build your bankroll up into huge amount of money.

DragTheBar was one of the fastest growing poker training sites of 2010 and they’ve recently announced a new promotion that’ll allow players the chance to earn a free membership to the poker training site. In order to earn a free monthly membership from DragTheBar you’re going to need to have a Party Poker account or sign-up for a Party Poker account. Once you have an account with Party Poker all you need to do is begin playing poker and earn a minimum of 1000 Party Poker points every month. If you can earn 1000 Party Poker points monthly you’ll be able to receive a free membership to DragTheBar. As long as you keep earning the minimum of 1000 Party Poker points each month you’ll be able to keep your free membership. This promotion is open to new members and existing members of the poker training site. If you’re already a paying member at DragTheBar you’ll be able to add free months to the end of your membership by taking part in this promotion. When you’re ready to start playing poker at Party Poker you need to ensure that you sign-up for the promotion. You can sign-up for the promotion by registering a free DragTheBar account and then adding your Party Poker username to your account. Once you’ve done these two simple steps every Party Poker point that you earn will be tracked on your free DragTheBar account. After you’ve earned 1000 Party Poker points the member’s area will become available for your account. The great thing about this promotion is that Party Poker is paying DragTheBar for the membership and it doesn’t cost your anything. You don’t even need to spend your Party Poker points on the membership, as you get to keep them. Since DragTheBar is making money on the membership they’re going to want to make sure they teach their players the best they possibly can so that everyone can earn the minimum of 1000 Party Poker points. Earning that many points every month isn’t an easy task, but with the expertise you’ll be receiving from DragTheBar you shouldn’t have a problem earning that many points.

If you’re looking for the perfect gift this Christmas for a friend or family member that enjoys playing poker, you’re in luck. I just found out that Tournament Poker Edge is offering Christmas gift certificates from now until Christmas time. In order to order a gift certificate from TPE all you need to do is follow our link and you’ll notice a red gift card in the right sidebar that you can click on. This will bring you to the Christmas landing page where you can either purchase a subscription to Tournament Poker Edge for someone or you can email your friends and family letting them know you’d be interested in receiving a subscription as a gift. There are four different subscriptions available for purchase with the discounts becoming bigger with the more months you buy at once. The following are the Christmas gift certificates that are available for purchase from now until Christmas Day. · 1 Month – $23.95 · 3 Months – $69.95 · 6 Months – $129.95 · 1 Year – $239.95 Normally when you sign-up for a Tournament Poker Edge account your subscription would rebill once your membership is over, but with this promotion the subscription won’t be rebilled. The only charge on your credit card will be the price of the subscription level that you buy. If you purchase a 3-month subscription, after the 3 months are over, the person you bought the gift for will have the choice to continue their membership or not using their own credit card. Poker players are extremely hard to buy for at Christmas because most of the things aren’t very helpful. You can only have so many poker chip sets sitting around the house. Why not purchase a gift that’ll actually provide the recipient with a positive ROI. TPE has some of the best poker training tournament videos in the industry and have been quickly gaining a lot of attention of the various poker training forums online.
